The Adaptive Parent Project is thrilled to partner with The Babywearing OT, to bring expert babywearing consultations and fit checks directly to our community.

Babywearing is more than convenience—it’s a powerful tool for liberation, connection, and confidence. For parents with disabilities, it can be the difference between exclusion and full participation in daily life. It can make feeding, soothing, navigating public spaces, and simply being together more accessible and empowering.

This partnership is rooted in our core belief: all parents deserve resources that respect their bodies, honor their expertise, and support their families to thrive. The Adaptive Parent Project exists to challenge ableism in parenting spaces—and babywearing is one way we build a world where parents with disabilities are seen, celebrated, and supported.

Through Motherhood Therapy Services, we offer virtual babywearing consultations and fit checks, with a deep understanding of how to adapt carriers and strategies to meet the diverse needs of disabled parents and caregivers.

Virtual Fit Check

15 minutes, $15

This quick session is good for troubleshooting a single carrier that you have tried a couple times and have specific concerns about. This session can also be great for advancing skills on carriers you already feel confident with, such as back carrying or feeding in the carrier, or for discussing carrier options that may be a good fit for you if you’re having trouble deciding on one.

Virtual Consultation

45 minutes + one month of email-based follow up support, $75

This in-depth session is good for fit checking multiple carriers, learning a single carrier comprehensively from start to finish, troubleshooting for multiple family members or caregivers, or a combination of support- such as discussing carrier options and fit checking 1-2 carriers.
